ICS5428 serisi; 28 portlu Gigabit/10 Gigabit Layer 3 endüstriyel Ethernet switch’tir. 10 Gigabit SFP slotları, Gigabit SFP slotları, Gigabit PoE portları, Gigabit copper portları ve Gigabit fiber/copper combo port sunar. 1U rack montaj tasarımına sahiptir. PoE güç beslemesi IEEE802.3af/at protokol standardına uygundur ve Ethernet üzerinden bağlı cihazlara güç sağlayarak bu cihazların ek kablo ihtiyacını azaltır. Port konfigürasyonu, port istatistikleri, 802.1X authentication, network diagnosis, rapid configuration, online upgrade ve loop detection gibi kapsamlı yönetim işlevlerine sahiptir. CLI, WEB, Telnet, SSH, SNMP ve diğer erişim yöntemlerini destekler. Kullanıcı dostu arayüz tasarımı ve basit, pratik kullanım sayesinde ağ yönetim sistemi iyi bir kullanıcı deneyimi sağlar.
Ürün, opsiyonel dual AC/DC power supply desteğine sahiptir. Giriş güç beslemesi iki bağımsız güç devresinden oluşur; böylece güç kaynaklarından biri arıza yapsa bile cihazın normal çalışması sağlanır.
