SW485WA, RS-232 ve RS-485 seri portu arasında çift yönlü veri dönüşümü uygulayabilen ve harici güç kaynağına ihtiyaç duymayan, yüksek hassasiyete sahip endüstriyel sınıf bir çeviricidir. Cihazın hasar görmesini önleyebilen 1500V fotoelektrik izolasyona ilave olarak 600W surge ve 15KV elektrostatik koruma ile donatılmıştır. RS-232 ve RS-485 port içerir.
SW485A'nın RS-232 portu, doğrudan PC'ye bağlanabilen ve TXD, RTS ve DTR sinyal hattı aracılığıyla PC seri portundan güç alabilir ve DB9 bağlantı şekline sahiptir.
